How long does recovery take?

Treatment can take from a few months up to around six months from start to finish, as the implant needs time to integrate with the bone. Many people return to their usual activities within a few days of the procedure. Healing times vary between patients.

How long do dental implants last?

With good daily cleaning and regular dental visits, implants can last many years. Longevity depends on your oral health, general health and how well the implant and surrounding gums are maintained.

How much do dental implants cost?

Can an implant be placed straight after a tooth is removed?

Will I get my new teeth the same day?

In many cases a temporary restoration can be fitted, and in some situations a fixed temporary solution can be placed on the day. The final restoration is usually fitted later, once healing has progressed. This varies between patients.

In many cases, if a medical condition is well managed, implant treatment can still be an option. Your dentist will review your medical history and overall health before confirming whether implants are suitable for you.

How do I care for my dental implants?

Implants are cared for much like natural teeth — daily brushing and cleaning between the teeth, along with routine check-ups and professional cleaning. Good oral hygiene is important for the long-term health of the implant.
